Busy little bee...

It has been some time since I've last updated. I have been getting after it lately and am short of much free-time. I've been skiing and shooting every day with the crew. A bunch of good new pow turns and a few big lines, which is a new development up at the Basin within the last few days. The upper elevation bowls are open and we are getting our fill. Snow is thin yet and sketch wind pack in areas. However, the upper elevation southeast faces are best right now for bigger lines and we have some cold snow in the middle elevation northys. Still getting into shape, but lugging around the heavy camera gear is kicking it into shape. Then, I come home, eat and rip off a 20 minute nap so I have some juice left to throw luggage bags all night down at the airport in SLC with Delta. Good job, with good folks, and being able to fly for free anywhere in the world is a perk that will come in handy on more than a few occasions. Finally starting to get into a bit of a routine now after the move and the new job and the beginning of the season. Stoked on the progress. New full page pic in Telemark skier mag, check it out in a resort profile of Alta. Steve Lloyd took the picture at Rocky Point, Alta. Alls well.

Big Snows, Big Shows

Utah is getting pummeled with new snow right now. Some three feet or so by the end of it all on Wednesday night. Rode Brighton today and the accumulation was beginning to add up. I am throwing a premiere party on Friday, December 8th @ 7:00pm for the new Tough Guy Productions television show that I am appearing in, "Open Windows". Blues on First will be playing some blues music for the crowd at The Wine Cellar in downtown Ogden, Utah. It should prove to be a good time. Tickets are $9 at the door or with me. Come and check it out, you won't be disappointed. The season is beginning to take off now, so here's to it.

I've been skiing Brighton in SLC the past few days getting the legs back underneath me. Mark Teizen stopped by last night and chilled in Ogden for the night. Hung out and talked skiing for the night and checked out some ski flicks. PBR was the night's official sponsor. Mark and I stopped in with DNA to get Mark all decked out for the season and he hit the road back to Tahoe. The Bird and Alta open tomorrow, and we'll hit that up. Hopefully hook up with the SecondLong crew and Stratton to make some turns with the masses.

First day on Snow

I finally got up to Alta to skin for some turns. Ben Geiger, Zach Houston, Jon Gurry, Paul Story, Dave Stratton, and myself met up early Sunday morning in Little Cottonwood to do some skin time. We hit up East Greely bowl at Alta in some early season sugar. The day was bright and sunny and we had us a great day of skinning, talking smack, and some good turns too. It was a good chance to knock the rust off and make some early season tele rolls. I was feeling pretty rusty for sure, but I was flowing better by the end of the day. Good to get out, and I am glad to have my first turns under my belt. Looking forward to a stellar season, and here's to it.
